Sali Says....

Talk Therapy in Sali’s Safe Space
All too often, people bottle things up. This can have an adverse effect on health, triggering headaches, depression, eating disorders, fatigue and even disease. Unfortunately sometimes the bottles can become too full of supressed words and explode, showering those in close proximity with a tirade of unguarded comments which are capable of doing irreparable harm. Words, once said, cannot be unsaid.

Talk Therapy

I provide a ‘Safe Space’ where people can come to talk… to offload… to shed the weight which has burdened them for too long.  All too often people bottle things up – not wanting to trouble others with their thoughts, their worries, their concerns, the pressures they are feeling… perhaps they are worried that their words may upset someone, or cause distress.  Sometimes there might be a feeling that expressing concerns about something may be interpreted as a sign of weakness, or negativity.  Whatever the reason, people become experts at bottling things up.  This can have an adverse effect on health, triggering headaches, depression, eating disorders, fatigue and even disease*.  Unfortunately sometimes the bottles can become too full of supressed words and explode, showering those in close proximity with a tirade of unguarded comments which are capable of doing irreparable harm.  Words, once said, cannot be unsaid.

I am qualified both as a Life Coach and a Management Coach and Trainer.  I started my own business in 2004, using the skills gained within a successful career of sales, marketing and business development, to coach other small businesses.  Effective listening skills were key to making a success not just of my own business, but of the other businesses I worked with.

Client confidentially is incredibly important to me and I have been able to prove my trustworthiness many times over the years.  I am non-judgemental.  I am empathetic.   I am supportive.

Talk Therapy sessions comprise:-
I hour
2 hours
3 hours
Full day (lunch included)

It really is good to talk…

Please note, the Talk Therapy which I offer is NOT a form of Counselling.  I simply offer a Safe Space where people can shed the weight they are carrying and leave feeling lighter and reenergised.  Often the process of ‘talking out’ everything which has been supressed brings clarity and positivity.  If you would like to ‘Clear your Mind’, please email me for more details.

So why should you come to me and not simply talk to your best friend? It’s always good to talk, but if you really want to ‘let it all out’, then ideally the person who you talk to needs to be objective, have good listening stills and not be judgemental.  Sometimes ‘best friends’ are too close to the situation and can’t remain objective.  Others might want to ‘tell you what to do’ and then become put-out if you don’t follow their instructions.  Some might feel the need to share what you have told them with their partner… Which is perhaps why you haven’t talked to anyone and have bottled everything up.

*A study conducted by psychologists from Harvard School of Public Health and the University of Rochester found that suppressing emotions may increase the risk of dying from heart disease and certain forms of cancer.
