As a Weight-loss Consultant one of the comments I hear most often is ‘I’ve been told that if I lose weight quickly on this diet, when I come off it I will put it all back on again and more besides.  Is this true?’  My response is always the same: we are creatures of habit – if we always do what we have always done, we will always get what we have always got. Cambridge Weight-Plans do what they say they will do, and we always encourage our clients to go through our Maintenance Programme, which has been proved helps people to keep the weight off.  In a nutshell; there has to be a ‘lifestyle change’ to make changes to your life.  If whatever you were eating before starting on your weight-loss journey caused you to put on weight, then eating the same things when you are much lighter will not only result in you gaining weight again, but it will probably happen quite quickly. The smaller you are, the less calories you need to consume so if you were over-eating when you were 3 stone overweight, and you eat that same amount when you are 3 stone lighter, then you will be over-eating to a much bigger degree!
